This is Nick Mead – I am a good  friend of Rebel and I am burdened with passing on the very very sad news that Rebel passed away yesterday evening.   Less than a week ago he fell and sustained a head injury that had devastating  effects of which he never recovered.

I’m not sure about accessing this site again so my direct contact email is [email protected]

Rebel was a very close friend and will be forever missed .

Love to all.

AMF my friend our small community has lost a special voice, you were an “original” in the truest sense of the word. The world is worse without your presence.

May the Valkyries come to carry you to Valhalla were the brave shall live forever!

Just getting back here after a few weeks away, only to find out there will be no more o=postings from Rebel. I have always enjoyed his writing, I loved his books, and we as bikers, regardless of our affiliations are a poorer bunch today because of his passing. Ride on Rebel, thanks for the many hours of great insights

Wow, just found out. Very sad news. He was on TV last night and I pointed him out to my wife and explained who he was. Buy his books

Dearest Don, I will never forget your courage, integrity and tenacity.
Without you and the greater agingrebel audience I would have never gotten through my very dark place.
Marnie, I am so glad you two connected, he was in a pretty dark place himself. I hope the kids can forgive, and will never forget. Flawed, yes. Aren’t we all.

I am so glad we met, and I will miss his wit and passion, until we sit down over a beer on the other side.

Nick, Thank you for sharing the hard news,
My best to all the rebel-lions,
Going out now to find some fresh pavement and ROAR!

Truly sad news. I’m still kinda reeling from the death of a kid I was helping take care of. (stage 4 GBM) and now this. I trusted his insights on things far more than from any other source. I’m even more glad now I bought some of his books. Never said much here but enjoyed reading the thoughts of others.
