Floyd B. “Jesse” Moore

Floyd B. “Jesse” Moore, a former national vice-president of the Pagans Motorcycle Club. died of unspecified causes last Wednesday, April 1, in Charleston, West Virginia.

Moore was one of 55 Pagans indicted in federal racketeering case titled U.S. v Barbeito et al in the fall of 2009. The case was an offshoot of a 2008 indictment of numerous members of the Mongols Motorcycle

The Pagans case was heavily dependent on the testimony of a confidential informant working for the ATF. The main charges were that the Pagans asserted dominance over smaller motorcycle clubs and that members participated in an illegal raffle. Most of those charges were dismissed in exchange for guilty pleas to state misdemeanor gambling charges. But Moore wound up being sentenced to 57 months in prison.

He is fondly remembered by his former brothers and was widely respected for his attempts to discourage drug use in his club.

He is survived by his girl friend, Tammy Sullivan; his sisters Lucy Wodzinski and Naomi Mattingly; his children, Victoria Matthews, Elmer Moore, Joseph Moore, Dolores Bailey, and Morgan Moore; his nephew: Robert E. Keslar; 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Because of the Covid-19 epidemic, he will be buried in a private service at Mount Lebanon Cemetery in Buckhannon West Virginia. His memorial will be announced at a later date.

Floyd B. “Jesse” Moore was 74-tears-old. He lived life on his own terms.
