Another Brief Apology

All Posts, News

The Aging Rebel has been mostly down for the last seven days. I may yet lose my mind. It has cost me a significant amount of money and aggravation and I am still not sure what happened.

I have been given a couple explanations. One is that the site has been the target of a “denial of service” attack aimed just against The Aging Rebel. That possibility immediately suggested a couple of federal suspects to me. I will have a book for sale before Monday. And, a couple of computer savvy people are named in the book.

If I can, I will publish a few words about the book and some excerpts from it as soon as it is available for sale.

Until then thank you very much for surfing into The Aging Rebel. I like the way you all read. And, I am sorry for any inconvenience these ongoing server problems may have caused you.

“May Anonymous destroy them all electronically, for this I ask dear sweet Jesus, the Angriest Jew Ever, to make that happen. Thanks in advance, Jeezster!!”

    Now THAT is a prayer!!

there is nothing more worthless than a federal law or local enforcer with the possible exception of federal and local law creators. they all sleep with their moms and they all fuck little boys. they are all muslims without a koran to guide them onto the proper paths of worthlessness so they have to make it all up as they go along. May Anonymous destroy them all electronically, for this I ask dear sweet Jesus, the Angriest Jew Ever, to make that happen. Thanks in advance, Jeezster!!

As I rode into Tombstone on my horse, his name was Mack
I saw what I’ll relate to you, going on behind my back
It seems the folks were up-in-arms, a man now had to die
For believing things that didn’t fit, the laws they’d set aside
The mans name was “I’m a Freak”. the best that I could see
He was the executioner, a hangman just like me
I geuss he’d seen loopholes from working with his rope
He’d hung the wrong man many times, so now he turned to hope
He talked to all the people from his scaffold in the square
He told them of the things he found, but they didn’t seem to care
He said the laws were obsolete, a change they should demand
But the people only walked away, he couldn’t understand
The marshals name was “Uncle Sam”, he said he’d right this wrong
He’d make the hangman shut his mouth, if it took him all day long
He finally arrested Freak, and then he sent for me
To hang a fellow hangman, from a fellow hangmans tree
It didn’t take them long to try him in their court of law
He was guilty then of “Thinking”, a crime much worse than all
They sentenced him to die, so his seed of thought can’t spread
And infect the little children, that’s what the law had said
So the hangin’ day came ’round, and he walked up to the noose
I pulled the lever, but before he fell I cut him lose
They called it a conspiracy, and that I had to die
So to close our mouths and kill our minds, they hung us side-by-side

And now we’re two hangmen, hangin’ from a tree
That don’t bother me, at all
Two hangmen, hangin’ from a tree
That don’t bother me, at all

I see MC’s as the first hangman and Rebel as the second, but could easily be the other way around, too.

I’m not down on the Hells Angels MC in particular, but a lot of good men have given up their lives/freedom for that patch and to see it used as a marketing tool pisses me off and denigrates their memory. I suppose I expect more from the 81 cos they’re the most well known club and have a lot of influence….but then maybe that was before they became a “corporation”?!

    REPENT OR PERISH
81 as a whole is not involved in soa Devils ride and or any of the other endeavors that certain members choose to follow as a path for livelihood it is what it is a job that more than likley pays very well and the club remains a separate entity of the members

Although yes as Bob Dylan once said
“the times they are a changin”

  9. REPENT OR PERISH Says:

One Eye: Yeah, I can’t get with this new generation stuff!…I used to see “straights” as the enemy…now they’re the !%ers?!!!

Phuquehed said: “Boss tried to tell me I couldn’t have that because it was racist.”

How is that possibly racist? Apparently rap is a minority property endemic only to those of colour? Ignorance has no boundaries, does it. I have never been a fan of rap and I won’t even listen to it; I’m sure the video has merit, and I am certainly not denigrating it by any means, but I dislike the music. As RoP pointed out, it seems to be the evolution of the new generation and the changing of the guard. I have a buddy here who was in a club which morphed into a big four 1%er club way back in the day; he showed me some pictures and one in particular stands out in my memory: they were all young, their beards and hair were long and no signs of grey; they had a confident, “I dare you,” look and they were intense in their stare; black dress shirts with pearl snaps and their patches sewn on were worn, Levi’s and engineer boots.
I remembered that when I was in Port Dover for a Friday the 13th and I saw a group of 1%ers with t-shirts hanging out, hats cocked off centre, really baggy pants that were hanging down and sneakers. Times they are a-changin’.

  11. Ronbo Says:

FF, welcome home and glad to see you’re working things out. Semper-Fi. One of my favorite sayings is “It’s not the fuck up it’s the recovery that counts.” Point being, making recoveries in life is something you’ll do all life long. And sometimes the wreck ain’t your fault. So it is the recovery that counts. Hang in there.

Glad to hear my computers slow cause of Rebel and NOT the porn.

  12. REPENT OR PERISH Says:

mad matt: No, I didn’t like the video either….just wrong on so many levels, but just a sign of the times that the Hells Angels MC would not only want to be associated with, but also promote such crap! I can see that video being played in court to blacken the reputations of clubs/ bikers. That video is an insult to anyone who’s swung their leg over a bike! But, money talks…..look at the other recent crap that 81’s been involved with….S.O.A, devil’s ride and it looks like there’ll be more to come!!!

  13. slycechyx Says:

Only problem I’ve been having is the dialogical page comes up blank, no error message, nothing just a blank page. As of this morning, still blank.

  14. Phuquehed Says:

Can’t stand rap. I even had ‘Rap is crap’ on my hardhat. Boss tried to tell me I couldn’t have that because it was racist. Told him where he could shove that bullshit and he never said another word about it.

Only thing good about the video was a couple nice bikes, and a really nice car…that was fucked up by being lowered though.

  15. mad matt Says:

Am I the only one who didn’t like the video?!

  16. Cajun Says:

    Rebel,

Just picked up your newest book off Amazon. Can’t wait to start reading it!

    Thanks for all you do,

I wouldnt worry too much about anyone important or powerful trying to bring down your site. DDOS attacks (if thats what it was) are pretty low level things, it could have been carried out by some of the shitheads that get mad at you in the comments sections. Keep on truckin

Don’t know what time it is back there in The World exactly, but just bought the Burgess book (kindle) and am sitting down to very strong coffee and getting very into both. Not known as a fan of The Rap at all, but grin every time I watch Mike P.’s videos, enjoy them, and have recommended them to friends who enjoy the genre. Thanks Rebel. Ride free, both on the page and on the bike. Here’s to ya.

  21. Road Whore Says:

For a few weeks off and on I’ve been having a hell of a time getting the site to load! Sometimes it will, but then I can’t get to the articles, etc. Sometimes it wouldn’t load at all and I’d give up and try again later. First few times I thought, okay…typical server problems or whatever…then I began to think: “The Man is fuckin’ with this!” Now having written your apology (problems understood, apology appreciated but not needed, truck on) I really suspect the latter. Fuck ’em all and keep crankin’ out the Truth!
