Eric Dean “Pee Ka” Garcia’s family confirmed the missing Mongol’s death about 5:30 PM Pacific Time Tuesday. Garcia disappeared on Tuesday, September 18.

Garcia’s family issued the following statement on a Facebook missing person page.

“It is with great sadness that we report to you tonight that our beloved Eric Dean Garcia was found this past weekend passed away. No immediate details surrounding his death have been released other than he was located in the Santa Cruz moutains. The Santa Cruz Sheriffs department are working very diligently to find out who is involved. If anyone hears anything regarding Erics death, please contact the Santa Cruz Sheriffs department at 831-454-2311. Eric was loved by so many people who are grieving right now. We are currently planning services for Eric and will notify you as soon as those are complete. Please continue to keep our family in your prayers. Please feel free to post your memories of Eric on this page, post pictures, videos and songs that we can use in his memorial. We know Eric would want this. Thank you for all the love and support everyone has shown our family. We know Eric is looking down from heaven asking us all ” What are you so moody for.” We love and miss you so much Eric. We will never give up!”

    I just checked this kids face book missing page. All though im an 81 supporter he looked like a cool funny kid.. Condolences

    I didn’t know him but I’m sorry for your loss. May he live forever in you.

    To the Mongol Nation:

    I hope he died while locked in mortal combat with his enemies as all warriors should die.

    I hope he died honorably and in a manner that those who were with him in his last moments aspire to his level when their time comes.

    I hope he left a permanent mark on his enemy so that they never forget him and the warrior he was.

    I hope he had his boots on when they found him.

    Lastly, I hope someday they can say the same about me.

    Yes. The biody was found on Saturday. The homicide jacket was opened on Monday. The family was notified on Tuesday.

    I’m glad there is a new thread for Eric’s loved ones to come to for condolences and support. I can’t imagine what they are going through, with one question answered but so many that now remain. I am so sorry for their loss.
