Warlocks v. Warlocks

The Los Angeles Times and the Winter Springs, Florida police are saying today that the fatal shooting in a VFW parking lot yesterday resulted from a confrontation between the two Warlocks Motorcycle Clubs. Both clubs were founded in the late 1960s.

The smaller of the two clubs was founded in 1967 by members of an Upper Darby, Pennsylvania fraternal organization called the Warlords. Upper Darby is in the general vicinity of Southwest Philadelphia. Those Warlocks wear a mythological, Greek monster called a Harpy on their backs. That club has maintained generally cordial relations with both the Pagans Motorcycle Club and the American Outlaws Association.

The larger of the two clubs was founded aboard the aircraft carrier Shangri-La in 1967. The bigger club’s mother chapter is in Orlando, Florida and those Warlocks wear a War Bird on their backs. They have had multiple nationally known disputes with the Outlaws. The Orlando based Warlocks have been the subject of at least two major ATF investigations in Florida and Virginia in the last ten years. The lead agent in the Florida investigation was Deputy Assistant Director Steve Martin. The lead agent in the Virginia investigation was Special Agent Darrin Kozlowski.

There are multiple one percenter motorcycle clubs in Florida including the Warlocks, Outlaws, Mongols and Pagans.

According to published reports, the Harpy Warlocks established a chapter in Seminole County, Florida last Spring.

The Shooting

The violence broke out about 10:40 Sunday morning at a VFW Post in Winter Springs where the War Bird Warlocks and friends of that club were assembling for a charity ride. Winter Springs is about 15 miles from Orlando. A reported six members of the Harpy Warlocks rode into the VFW parking lot and a gunfight almost immediately erupted. Police said “at least 30 shots were fired.” Witnesses described as many as 50 shots.

Police do not know who shot first. “We are still ascertaining who is affiliated with what,” Winter Springs Lieutenant Doug Seely said at a press conference this morning. “We’re still trying to sift through that.”

Two men named Harold Liddle and Peter Schlette were killed and another man named David Jakiela was seriously wounded. Jakiela is in critical condition at the Orlando Regional Medical Center.

Police seized 13 guns, 13 knives, multiple motorcycles and one SUV at the crime scene. At today’s press conference Lieutenant Seely said four men had been arrested for suspicion of homicide and attempted homicide. Those men are named Victor Amaro, Robert Eckert, David Maloney, and Paul Smith. Smith is a member of the Florence, South Carolina chapter of the War Bird Warlocks. The Aging Rebel has not determined the club affiliation, if any, of Amaro, Eckert or Maloney or of any of the three victims.

@Jim666 and Red&Gold – Damn straight it’s easy to ask, because it’s a logical and simple question. *YOU* two need to quit jumping to conclusions that there was no respect for anyone involved in my question. You both don’t know me or any of the situations I’ve been in to assume (remember to never do that?) that I haven’t “lived such a life”. If anything, your assumptions just brought my respect of you guys down a little notch for jumpin’ my ass without stopping to think or ask what I know about the life or situations where violence is a common occurance. Just because one (or both) of you are patch-holders, doesn’t make you the sole owners of knowing what the hell honor and death are or soley knowledgeable about love and brotherhood. By the way, Andrew Jackson also used to cheat like a son of a bitch at his duels. He’d wear a long, oversized overcoat to them and when he’d turn to shoot, he’d twist his body sideways inside the coat as much as he could without making it look like he was doing so. He also died from the one bullet that nailed him at a prior duel years before that didn’t kill him right off the bat. I studied him years ago and wish we had all our presidents to be like him (except for the absolute hate of indians of course…he hated indians with a passion for various reasons). I know honor just as well as either of you two, so don’t get all high and mighty.

It was a simple fucking question, where I was exasperated at the death of so many lately at the hands of each other when we have a fucking bad enough time of it from unethical law enforcement and moronic cagers!

Condolences to war-bird Warlocks on the loss of their brothers.

  3. Rebel Says:

    Dear Red&Gold,

May many women weep for you as you lie in the casket made from the 100-year-old tree whose seed I will plant tomorrow.

  4. 10Guage Says:

That might have been what you meant to say but comparing this situation to gang hangers is disrespectful…” the way some clubs are acting they’re taking lessons from the gang-bangers of the ghettos and the barrios no pride anymore in saying how tough they are by kicking ass…”

That comment speaks for itself…And read to me like a citizen comment on a news paper story

If that is not what you meant then I get that too but I don’t get the high and mighty deal

Their walls are built of cannon balls,
there motto is, ” Don’t tread on me.”

  5. Red&Gold Says:

@Rebel…Thank you…May you die at age one-hundred twenty, shot by the jealous husband of a teenage wife…

@ Base…There is actually a Club Brother who DID die that very way!A quick death and a great story on how he went…I think those two items must be there when one dies in order to become legend…he did attain immortality…

@Phuquehed…my comments were not addressed to you, nor did they reference your comment…As I intended my thoughts only to make those who should think, do so,you will have to decide for yourself what part,if any,of my comment(s) applies to you .

  6. Sing sing Says:

Not gonna waste any time in this back n forth shenanigans. Condolences to both families and clubs. Chalk up another point for da man as we continue to cement our positions on their radars….

  7. JP Says:

My condolences to Warlocks MC and the family, friends & loved ones.

  8. Jim666 Says:

@Phuquehed there you go again judging someone and not hearing the words your reading, you jump to your own conclusions, No I dont know you or what youve been thru, I really dont care,or care to know.If you read what I wrote you,ll know what i said. the world doesnt revolve around you, so dont take it personal, more than 1 comment suggested the use of nonviolent warfair,I said Shit Happens, “IF YOU WERNT THERE DONT JUDGE !”
And yes I am a patch holder, altho I really dont see how that matters.

    Respects to some here
    Respects to WMC 23

  9. Jim666 Says:

Rebel just found this on another site, this is from a Fla news paper but also has a vid. w/ the 911 callers audio

  10. Paladin Says:

After reviewing two Orlando Sentinel articals (10/08/2012 & 10/12/2012), it seems that at least some of the accused, were former members of the Orlando Warlocks, that had started a Seminole County charter, using the Philly Warlocks’ logo.

“Police reports blame the killings on members of the “Philly” Warlocks who opened fire on Warlocks from Orlando, Lake County and a visiting member from Louisiana. Yet many questions remain about who shot first and why the four men charged with murder immediately waived their Miranda rights and spoke to police about the shooting. What they said remains a mystery.

And there’s no explanation yet for the rift that prompted former Warlocks President David “Tin Man” Maloney and others charged with murder to form the splinter group wearing a different “Philly” Warlocks patch to challenge bikers once considered their brothers.”

    Long May You Ride,

  11. Sieg Says:

REad that…sounds to me more like a smoke-screen being used, maybe just to cloud the issue, maybe to bring grief down on the club in Philly. Either way, I wouldn’t trust a damn thing the heat realeases.

  12. Rebel Says:

    Dear Paladin,

Members of the Philly (Harpy) Warlocks and members of the Florida based (Phoenix-Warbird) Warlocks had cordial personal relationships going back at least a couple of years. One of the accused men had been a Harpy Warlock before relocating to Florida. My knowledge of the case is very limited which is why I haven’t written more about it but I don’t have any reason to believe that this was a dispute between those two Warlock Clubs or that the smaller club was acting as an agent for any other club. There is some reason to believe that David Maloney had stolen money from the Warbird Warlocks. I don’t have any rational reason to believe that the ATF or FBI were involved in this tragedy in any way.

  13. Rebel Says:

    Dear Jim666,

Yeah the get away from the door! Get away from that door! 911 call.

I didn’t see much news in it. I will probably put it up just so everybody will get a chance to hear it.

  14. Paladin Says:

    Dear Rebel,

Since the Philly (Harpy) Warlocks’ club house is closed, their phone disconnected, and their current website seems inactive, I think the logical question to ask would be, is the Philly (Harpy) Warlocks still an active club?

If in fact the Philly (Harpy) Warlocks are no longer an active club, and due to the fact that David Maloney was arrested wearing a “Harpy” cut, it’s not too illogical to think that he (David Maloney) might have been trying to re-start the Philly (Harpy) Warlocks in Florida.

David Maloney has alleged that the Orlando (Warbird) Warlocks have shot at him (Maloney) on numerous occasions. The shooting of the Orlando (Warbird) Warlocks may have been done in retaliation for that.

Obviously, this is all speculation. But, If you squint, it looks like it might make some kind of sense.

    Long May You Ride,

  15. probate wmc Says:

Paladin you hit it right on. I think you maybe from Lockhart.
    L&R for my brothers.

  16. KK Says:

Paladin: Philly(Del,NJ) Warlocks are still active. Just because they do not publicize(websites, phone#s etc)anymore is not an indication they are no longer active & getting stronger as a club.

Some clubs in the above areas have decided to shut down ALL public sites, to avoid the lies, speculation & assumptions that posters like you make.

Members of said club know where the clubhouse(s) are located.

  17. swampy Says:

I know of a couple of small “independent” clubs, in the South, that have taken down their websites in the last few years(by their choice). I wouldn’t be surprised to see more of this in the near future with larger clubs. Especially with Hollywood’s mockery and the alphabet gang’s bullshit. JMO. Respects, swampy

  18. KK Says:

probate wmc: My o My. Honestly, you’re a probate or at least your poster name is stating as such and you’re talking club business as a probate out here?

    No Respect NONE

  19. Paladin Says:

Well sport, if what you say is true, it would seem that the Philly (DE NJ) Warlocks are doing their level best to try and stay well below the radar. I’m sure they’ll be very appreciative of the fact that you’ve not only told the world that the Philly Warlocks are still active, but that they’re getting stronger as a club.

If you can be believed, I appreciate you answering the question posed in my speculative post. BTW, after what you posted, you really shouldn’t throw too many rocks at probate wmc.

    Long May You Ride,

  20. Glenn S. Says:

Probably best not to speculate. Wouldn’t want the words “a reasonable person would believe…” or “police intelligence verified…” (citing posts here) to appear on a search warrant. But I might fathom a guess that somebody might pretend to be a probate or prospect of a club, whose initials he does not capitalize if he wanted to invite others to voice opinions, for whatever reasons.

  21. KK Says:

Paladin: Sport? lol Is that your creative way to disrespect me? Surely you can come up with something more productive or more annoying than “sport” right? Cops say that shit, often.

I am not stating ANYTHING to compromise any club(s) in my area, none.

If you knew anything, anything about 1% clubs: 1)You would not be speculating about any clubs business 2)You would also have some what of an understanding of who is who, active & growing or not, no big secret for anyone here(police, fbi, other clubs, etc).

Simply put, my comment was to put and end to your speculation, if you take offense to that, or don’t believe that, I really don’t give a fuck.

    Enjoy your day.

    Condolences to Warlocks(Warbird) MC

Glenn S: You’re 100 % right. The bait looks so tasty at times here lately. I’ll get back to lurking now.

    KK 1%

  22. Paladin Says:

I’m sorry you got all butt hurt over my last post. So, in the interest of sportsman like conduct, I apologize. Does that make it better? Now, can we be friends?

    Long May You Ride,

  23. KK Says:

Paladin: I try to be as civil as I can be out here on this site. I’m not an internet soldier or shit talker.

Your post for whatever reason hit a nerve, I try to think hard before I give a rebutall to a poster or put anything into print, because I totally understand the possible repurcussions it can have not only on me, but more importantly other clubs I have respect for out here & on the streets.

I’d like to think that you could take advantage of the information I offered you and have a clearer understanding of what speculation, assumptions etc can have on a club & their members.

I don’t & won’t get into a battle of wit with a possible advisary who uses “sport” & “butt hurt”, I hear that about everytime I get pulled over.

No hard feelings, just simple 101 Respect. It’s really NUNYA.

  24. Paladin Says:

I’m not your advisary. I’ve been a patch holder for many years. So, I have a pretty good understanding of how clubs work. I don’t lie, or make assumptions and I didn’t write anything in my post that would have given anyone (law enforcement or otherwise) an epiphany. The question in my post was rhetorical in nature.

If I had come across any REAL information, regarding this unfortunate situation, it would have stayed with me.

    Long May You Ride,

  25. LocalPa Says:

KK is correct and did not say anything that would hurt us.

  26. Sieg Says:

Sure is a lotta shiftless shit floating around…

  27. BOODAN Says:

Snitches wear Stitches is how it’s supposed to be. But it seems Philly WARLOCKS patch them!

  28. Harleychixx Says:

@BOODAN – you’re fucking kidding me right?? Philly Warlocks patch snitches?? Do you have the paperwork on any of these alleged snitches that have been patched?? DIDN’T THINK SO!! Don’t even need paperwork to prove what kind of members are accepted in your club. All you got to do is go here to see for yourself: http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/breakingnews/os-warlocks-shooting-monday-hearing-20130128,0,2432697.story

  29. Paydirt Says:

Florida Worstlock president big john gave up his membership roster to the FBI in October after he ordered his “brothers” to go attack the original Philly Warlocks at the VFW. An attempt to wash the blood off his hands. Big John and Donut Dave also ratted in 2003 and sent their own brothers to jail. Donut got 2 years for a felon with a fully automatic machine gun. Thats a Class X felony, mandatory 10 years. Not only that but he was caught with several other guns, weed and cocaine. He snitched on his bros so his girlfriend didnt have to go to jail. This is all PUBLIC knowledge now!!!. Just look up the ATF records on the case. Sorry for Donut the records are not sealed anymore!!! They’ve tried to keep it secret but its out there now! So big john sits in court with the brothers that he threw under the bus and they havent even a clue. UNTIL NOW!!! Meanwhile Worstlock OrlANDO PRESIDENT Contender’s old lady gave testimony against her old man, big john, phil-z and donut dave indicting them all in the conspiracy to attack the Harpies!!! …Not to mention Booscam begs for money to ride around the country yet doesn’t pay a dime of child support on his 10 children. No wonder big john’s worstlocks have to PAY to wear their patch in New York, Ohio, South Carolina, Minnesota, AND Canada!!! total 0%ers!!

  30. little john Says:

Hard to deal with all the pathological paranoid ravings from Mr. Paydirt (who I suspect has nothing to do with EITHER Warlock club and is probably a fed instigator).

He says, “Florida Worstlock president big john gave up his membership roster to the FBI in October after he ordered his “brothers” to go attack the original Philly Warlocks at the VFW. An attempt to wash the blood off his hands”

There was no conspiracy by the Florida Warlocks to attack the Philly Warlocks except in your imagination…Officer Paydirt!

Those Florida guys were there to attend the charity ride, and were ambushed by the the former Florida/now Fake Philly whackos whose anxiety paranoia was out of control. Those two Florida Warlocks were ambushed and killed while still on their bikes, and only one had time to try to get off his bike. The three guys who were murdered where not any kind of goon squad, they were almost the exact opposite…peacemakers.
Since the Philly Warlocks have denied knowledge of the Florida chapter and claimed that they had expelled the ONE former Philly Warlock who was arrested, I suspect Officer Dirt (redundant, I know) doesn’t know the first thing about what happened.

  31. Gump Says:

    Oh well !

Legend has it, a 31-year-old member of the Warlocks motorcycle club, in the span of a few minutes Tuesday: A. snorted meth, B. smoked weed, C. tattooed himself, D. shot his girlfriend in the head, E. told her he loved her. He claims it was an accident; police say it was not. Either way, says outspoken Upper Darby Police Chief Michael Chitwood, “He won’t be riding his motorcycle for a while.” Michael DeLuca’s girlfriend, 19, is in critical condition. [Daily News]
