Rebel, I appreciate the kind words. I’ve come across more information that I am pretty sure is accurate as the source is very close to the family. Part of the “after action” report whereby everyone gets together and agrees on what really (did not) happen, was either leaked or obtained by the family or their attorney. Or, what I read may have been from a pre-raid surveillance report, I cannot say.

Mrs. Hicks was a School Bus driver for Dinwiddie County School system. Each day Monday through Friday, she would, at just before or shortly after 0600 AM, start the bus up to “warm up” the engine. That this fact was known to the authorities since it was written, begs the question of whether or not the raid was planned to avoid Mrs Hicks being outside of the home. It also begs the question of whay such a raid was necessary when it would require little effort to leverage Mrs. Hicks thus convincing her husband to surrender.

I have read unconfirmed reports that the actual execution release from Command (not the Judge but the coodinater of the raid) was not signed off on until 11:15 or 5 hours AFTER Mr Hicks was shot dead.

Alos, just for clarification the FBI Office in Pittsburgh was Command for that agency, the BATFE Office in Lexington KY was Command for that agency, and it reamins unclear if the Richmond Office of BATFE was even involved.

I have read fairly reliable reports that in the days after the shooting Govermnet agents were questioning neighbors of the Hick’s as if to find some reason to “justify” their actions. This may be a routine aspect of the “investigation” of the shooting itself which i understand is two pronged. The Virginia State Police is or has already conducted its internal investigation and by statute will turn their findings over to the Attroney General for the state of Virginia as well as the DA for Dinwiddie county. You can bet they will never see the light of day.

    Saw this today….
About as bad a end as it gets. This in the aftermath this week of an unbelievable verdict of involuntary manslaughter instead of the desired second degree murder in the case of the B.A.R.T. cop shooting a father on a train platform last year in Oakland California.
Yet more cases of cops going unpunished for rogue behavior.
