Vagos Trial Nears Conclusion

Today was the 67th day of the Vagos trial in Las Vegas. Pastor Palafox, Albert Perez, James Gillespie, and Ernesto Gonzalez appeared before the jury in chains. The remaining defendants, Cesar Morales, Albert Lopez, Bradley Campos, and Diego Garcia are still free men and were allowed to come to the bar of justice chain free.

The governments case, which is largely built on official lies, is almost concluded.

There was one witness. Angel Carvajal, was examined by defense attorney Daniel Hill on behalf of Palafox and cross examined by prosecutor Dan Schiess. The 5171st exhibit in the trial was introduced but not admitted into evidence.

The defendants told Judge Gloria M. Navarro that they intend to remain silent.

here was some legal wrangling. The case includes eight defendants, three prosecutors and 14 defenders. The government stated that it does not intend to call rebuttal witnesses.

The defendants moved for a directed acquittal on the grounds that the government had had proven its case. Navarro denied it.

The judge will instruct the jury tomorrow at 1:30 p.m.

Closing arguments will begin Monday, February 3 at 9:00 a.m. in Courtroom 7D in the Federal Courthouse, 333 South Las Vegas Blvd in Las Vegas.
