The Declaration of Independence

IN CONGRESS, July 4, 1776.

The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America,

When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.–Such has been the patient sufferance of these Colonies; and such is now the necessity which constrains them to alter their former Systems of Government. The history of the present King of Great Britain is a history of repeated injuries and usurpations, all having in direct object the establishment of an absolute Tyranny over these States. To prove this, let Facts be submitted to a candid world.

He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.

He has forbidden his Governors to pass Laws of immediate and pressing importance, unless suspended in their operation till his Assent should be obtained; and when so suspended, he has utterly neglected to attend to them.

He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of Representation in the Legislature, a right inestimable to them and formidable to tyrants only.

He has called together legislative bodies at places unusual, uncomfortable, and distant from the depository of their public Records, for the sole purpose of fatiguing them into compliance with his measures.

He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing with manly firmness his invasions on the rights of the people.

He has refused for a long time, after such dissolutions, to cause others to be elected; whereby the Legislative powers, incapable of Annihilation, have returned to the People at large for their exercise; the State remaining in the mean time exposed to all the dangers of invasion from without, and convulsions within.

He has endeavoured to prevent the population of these States; for that purpose obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners; refusing to pass others to encourage their migrations hither, and raising the conditions of new Appropriations of Lands.

He has obstructed the Administration of Justice, by refusing his Assent to Laws for establishing Judiciary powers.

He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the tenure of their offices, and the amount and payment of their salaries.

He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.

He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures.

He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power.

He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution, and unacknowledged by our laws; giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:

For Quartering large bodies of armed troops among us:

For protecting them, by a mock Trial, from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States:

For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world:

For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:

For depriving us in many cases, of the benefits of Trial by Jury:

For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences

For abolishing the free System of English Laws in a neighbouring Province, establishing therein an Arbitrary government, and enlarging its Boundaries so as to render it at once an example and fit instrument for introducing the same absolute rule into these Colonies:

For taking away our Charters, abolishing our most valuable Laws, and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:

For suspending our own Legislatures, and declaring themselves invested with power to legislate for us in all cases whatsoever.

He has abdicated Government here, by declaring us out of his Protection and waging War against us.

He has plundered our seas, ravaged our Coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people.

He is at this time transporting large Armies of foreign Mercenaries to compleat the works of death, desolation and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of Cruelty & perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy the Head of a civilized nation.

He has constrained our fellow Citizens taken Captive on the high Seas to bear Arms against their Country, to become the executioners of their friends and Brethren, or to fall themselves by their Hands.

He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages, whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.

In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury. A Prince whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a Tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.

Nor have We been wanting in attentions to our Brittish brethren. We have warned them from time to time of attempts by their legislature to extend an unwarrantable jurisdiction over us. We have reminded them of the circumstances of our emigration and settlement here. We have appealed to their native justice and magnanimity, and we have conjured them by the ties of our common kindred to disavow these usurpations, which, would inevitably interrupt our connections and correspondence. They too have been deaf to the voice of justice and of consanguinity. We must, therefore, acquiesce in the necessity, which denounces our Separation, and hold them, as we hold the rest of mankind, Enemies in War, in Peace Friends.

We, therefore, the Representatives of the united States of America, in General Congress, Assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of the world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the Name, and by Authority of the good People of these Colonies, solemnly publish and declare, That these United Colonies are, and of Right ought to be Free and Independent States; that they are Absolved from all Allegiance to the British Crown, and that all political connection between them and the State of Great Britain, is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that as Free and Independent States, they have full Power to levy War, conclude Peace, contract Alliances, establish Commerce, and to do all other Acts and Things which Independent States may of right do. And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.

    Yeah man, the way things start for a kid generally predicts his life, wealth, marriage, social class, and profession. TJ had a ton of advantages. What he left us though, remains powerful – he left us a piece of himself. Of course , these days, like Robert Lee, the iconic Jefferson is attacked through identity politics – serving to obscure the important Law he gave us to keep.

    At 5, began studying under his cousin ‘ s tutor.

    At 9, studied Latin, Greek and French.

    At 14, studied classical literature and additional languages

    At 16, entered the College of William and Mary.
    Also could write in Greek with one hand, while writing the same in Latin with the other.

    At 19, studied Law for 5 years starting under George Wythe.

    At 23, started his own law practice.

    At 25, was elected to the Virginia House of Burgesses.

    At 31, wrote the widely circulated “Summary View of the Rights of British America,” and retired from his law practice.

    At 32, was a delegate to the Second Continental Congress.

    At 33, wrote the Declaration of Independence.

    At 33, took three years to revise Virginia ‘ s legal code and wrote a Public Education bill and a statute for Religious Freedom.

    At 36, was elected the second Governor of Virginia, succeeding Patrick Henry.

    At 40, served in Congress for two years.

    At 41, was the American minister to France and negotiated commercial treaties with European nations along with Ben Franklin and John Adams.

    At 46, served as the first Secretary of State under George Washington.

    At 53, served as Vice President and was elected President of the American Philosophical Society.

    At 55, drafted the Kentucky Resolutions and became the active head of the Republican Party.

    At 57, was elected the third president of the United States

    At 60, obtained the Louisiana Purchase , doubling the nation ‘ s size.

    At 61, was elected to a second term as President.

    At 65, retired to Monticello .

    At 80, helped President Monroe shape the Monroe Doctrine.

    At 81, almost single-handedly, created the University of Virginia and served as its ‘ first
    president.

    At 83, died on the 50th Anniversary of the Signing of the Declaration of Independence, along with John Adams.

    Thomas Jefferson knew because he himself studied, the previous failed attempts at government. He understood actual history, the nature of God, His laws and the nature of man. That happens to be way more than what most understand today.

    Jefferson really knew his stuff…

    Probably the worst thing that has happened in America in my time is the decay of confidence in the courts. No one can be sure any more that in a given case they will uphold the plainest mandate of the Constitution. On the contrary, everyone begins to be more or less convinced in advance that they won’t. Judges are chosen not because they know the Constitution and are in favor of it, but precisely because they appear to be against it.

    I grew up on a farm and I am a hillbilly, that means I work and the only thing I know is work. I grew bucking bales. The only tractor we could really afford was a 13 year old Romanian copy of an Italian copy or a Ford(never license anything to anybody, at least if you don’t license they have to guess with their copies). Small hands got into spaces better than big hands. My daddy had worked for IHC and OMC.

    I wanted to learn machining- we didn’t did have apprenticeships. I made do. My shit’s old but I own it and I don’t answer to anyone. Some months business is good, some months business isn’t.

    But I’m not stuck inside a classroom somewhere brainwashing the millennial someone has chosen to apply that label to. I generally make it a rule not to have a goddamn thing to do with anyone under the age of 55 because they’re either Gen-X’ers that never grew the fuck up or they’re the flotsam and jetsam that came afterwards.

    It pisses me the fuck off to see our wonderful political candidates promising student debt relief- if they hadn’t majored in underwater basketweaving and instead learned a trade, they wouldn’t need the “relief”. I remember a guy who graduated same year I did and he had $250k to go to a state college- he was in a frat, he had new VW sedan, and he was frat boy. I remember working at the motorcycle shop, the machine shop, and I was GRA/GTA or Instructor. I have zero debt- but I worked. I’m glad I did, but it sure as shit looks like I should have run up 3/4 million in debt and bitched “I’ll never pay this off before I die.”

    I don’t own anything that isn’t paid for. I haven’t ripped anyone off, I don’t work as an online scammer. I don’t sit on my ass on a games console 24/7.

    I think white people are endangered ass species- and given some of the genetic material I see- it’s no wonder why. But you know what I’ll soon stand and hang with my fellow hillbilly cracker stock as I would black, brown- I give a fuck. They aren’t mine.

    The fact anyone thinks the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, or any other document protects you is the only thing I’ve addressed and I stand by what I said- those documents don’t mean shit.

    Crazy Joe Spaziano’s life was snuffed out by the state of Florida because he was an Outlaw. That poor prick in NC’s life is over because he went over to introduce himself to a popup club and the popup club prick wound up by the IO’s fuckery- Mr. Popup pulled a gun rather than shit hit himself and ended his own life in the process. There’s a guy up in PA, ol’ Leroy Stoltzfus Jr- life snuffed out because of the piece of shit who did the deed told a tall tell. A guy out west named Odis Garrett had his life taken by the state of CA because a piece of shit named Michael Thompson joined a prison clique, there was a turnover in mgmt, and the turnover in mgmt realized Thompson had his hand in every stash there was and mgmt was none too pleased. So Thompson outright lied on ol’ Buck Garrett and Buck’s life is effectively ended.

    Pick a real, non-popup, non-IO club and I can name you one guy at least per state who got fucked for Amendments 1-10 and practicing them.

    There is no protection from some word or pieces of paper, the government has done a good job of causing anyone to 2nd guess the brotherhood around them for the simple reason there are so many reasons to suspect the people around you are taking short cuts and risking everyone wearing the patch’s ass.

    I finished putting a MF torque converter back together. I will be amazed if the asshole pays me, but I will resist taking a pipe to his knees because that’s how you end up in jail.

    I’m quite grateful for my loaf of bread, my pack of turkey, and having my utilities turned on. That’s more than Joe Spaziano or Guy Smith have done on lifer high power in Florida.

    The courts aren’t classifying MCs, other groups or movements as anything, federal and local governments are doing that. However; judges do show their bias when making rulings during the court proceedings they preside over and when handing down sentences.

    Based on HFMR’s post in Rebel’s ‘North Carolina Murder Trial’ story, HFMR’s description of the shenanigans that occurred in her ex-husbands murder trial would be a textbook example of judicial bias.

    The only privilege I’ve had is to be born, I had 18 years of food and electricity and a roof. I could not find a union apprenticeship, why ? Union is a dirty word in America now.     You seem to be a very bitter person. I would first try to get out of fayetteville.
    I have lived there and it is a shithole.
    You have a lot of gripes but I do not hear any solutions offered.
    That is one of the things wrong with this country, everybody bitches. Everyone thinks that the world/country/state owes them something, bullshit, You come into this world and it is up to you to make it happen or not. If you are going to do the crime be ready to do the time or quit crying about it. Step off of your soapbox and do something, anything. They have airplanes that can take you to a better country if you would like to go. One thing about this country is you are free to go anywhere that you want, even another country!
