Other Bandidos Boot Drops

United States District Judge David Ezra sentenced Jeffrey Fay Pike, former El Presidente of the Bandidos Motorcycle Club, to life in prison without the possibility of parole plus ten years in San Antonio this morning.

Pike is the second, former, Bandido national officer to be sentenced by Ezra this week. Two days ago Ezra sentenced former national chapter vice-president John Portillo to two life terms in prison plus 20 years.

On May 17, the third anniversary of the Waco Twin Peaks Mass Murder, both men were convicted by a jury of eight men and four women of a long list of accusations: Racketeering Conpiracy; Murder in Aid of Racketeering; Conspiracy to Commit Murder in Aid of Racketeering; Conspiracy to Commit Assault with a Dangerous Weapon in Aid of Racketeering; Aiding and Abetting Assault with a Dangerous Weapon in Aid of Racketeering; Aiding and Abetting Discharging a Firearm during a Violent Crimes in Aid of Racketeering Murder; Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine and cocaine; possession with Intent to Distribute cocaine; Conspiracy to Interfere with Commerce by Threats or Violence; and Being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

Don’t Say Waco

The men were first indicted in January 2016, about seven months after the incident in Waco when about 70 members and supporters of the Cossacks Motorcycle Club ambushed a much smaller group of Bandidos as they tried to park at the restaurant. The Bandidos were there to attend a Sunday afternoon meeting of a political action group called the Texas Confederation of Clubs and Independents. The Cossacks had refused to join the group, which they considered to be a Bandidos’ racket, but attended the meeting anyway with the intention of disrupting it.

Judge Ezra refused to allow defense attorneys to introduce evidence connected to the ambush but did allow prosecutors to argue that the Bandidos, under the direction of Portillo and Pike, was the aggressor in a “war” against the Cossacks.

Evolving Accusations

The indictment against Pike and Portillo was revised, or superseded, four times before the men eventually went to trial. During that time, Ezra disqualified Pike’s attorney. The revised indictments eventually included two old murders of two drug dealers named Robert Lara, in 2002, and Anthony Benesh in 2006. The old accusations had been alleged before, including on a reality crime show titled Gangland, but no previous prosecutor thought the charges would hold water. According to testimony by former ATF agent Jay Dobyns, the episode of Gangland in which the charges were originally made was produced at the behest of and with the close cooperation of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

The men who actually murdered Lara and Benesh appeared at Pike and Portillo’s trial this spring as witnesses for the prosecution. They told the jury that they killed the drug dealers on the orders of Pike and Portillo.

Jurors were either very convinced or homesick. The trial lasted three months. The jury reached a unanimous verdict on all charges in two days.

Jeffrey Pike is 63-years-old. He succeeded George Wegers as president of the motorcycle club in 2005.

Both Pike and Portillo have said they plan to appeal their convictions.

31st, to whom are you referring and posting what?

  2. Parsifal Says:

TRAVESTY? Yes it is. The situation of you are damned if you just plead guilty and do your time or chose to stand and fight and still end up doing time. The most tragic thing about all this is that the citizens haven’t jumped up in defense of their own rights. That’s what is going to be put on the line in a few years. But judging by the younger generations? They want someone around to tell them when and how to wipe their nose and dirty butts. The older generations? I guess they just want to fade away?

I am right there with you…..

I may be wrong but I think just about everything involving this trial was sealed….. except maybe the courthouse Map on the wall and the paper towels in the head

  5. Paladin Says:

    @ 31st;

Because he has no self control, which makes him a liability to any he’s around. He’s left Texas and now runs his cock washer from Colorado.

    Long May You Ride,

    Paladin

  6. 31st Says:

Lee West, why are you still posting?

  7. Bone Head Says:

There’s a lot I don’t understand. In this instance I don’t understand Ezra “disqualifying” Pike’s attorney. Somehow I thought the Constitution afforded you the right to pick your own representation including even yourself.

  8. Hangaround Says:

  9. Phuquehed Says:

So who’s next in the rush to take down the clubs? George did his time now Pike. The LE figure that you cut off the head of a club and the body will die. Expect every phone to be taped and every hang-around is a fed.

  11. freebird Says:

Respects to his brothers & family……

They want us wiped out, Extermination

  13. 31st Says:

I wish I had an answer to all this madness but I dont. I can only reflect upon the artists, Voltaire, Zappa, Beethoven, Dali… and know that their art was a reflection of the madness all around them. They struggled through, IN SPITE OF IT ALL, and so shall we. Death in the physical realm is not the end. Matter is perpetual.

  14. Crazy Dave Says:

Sounds like conspiracy on the part of law enforcement and judiciary to me. A fucking joke of a trial.

  15. New England Rider Says:

Stay strong Mr. Pike and his fellow Bandidos. This is all bullshit.

    LL&R,
    New England Rider

  16. Desdicado Says:

What a fucking travesty. Total BS. Praying for righteous appeals for both men.

  17. Griz's Gal Says:

This whole clown show just sickens me.

Can’t wait for the appeals of both men. I hope they have better luck there.
