Gerald “Jerry” Bordas, died about three o’clock Monday morning on Interstate 95 near Sunrise Boulevard in Broward County, Florida.
Bordas was killed after his motorcycle clipped a 2007 GMC van driven by Rodolf Desroches, 46, of Sunrise, Florida. Bordas then fell into traffic and was run over by three other vehicles. When he came to a stop he was wedged under the van.
One of the three vehicles that ran over Bordas was a Nissan Maxima driven by Jose Burgos, 35, of North Miami. That driver stopped and remained at the scene to try to help Bordas. The other two vehicles, described by the Florida Highway patrol as a small, light-colored car and a tractor-trailer, ran over the downed biker and kept going.
Jerry Bordas was the second member of the South Florida chapter of the American Outlaws Association (AOA) to die in a traffic accident in the space of nine days.
Bordas died just two days after 800 Outlaws from as far away as Arkansas and Wisconsin gathered to pay their respects to Roger E. Williams, Jr. who was killed in Leesburg, Florida on April 25th.
Jerry Bordas died doing what he loved. He was 48.
