Cop Kills Biker

A Berkeley County South Carolina Sheriff’s Deputy named James Vansant is on paid “administrative leave” after killing a speeding motorcyclist by ramming him with his Sport Utility Vehicle just before midnight last Wednesday.

The crash occurred on South Main Street in Summerville, which is just north of Charleston. The dead man was identified as 30-year-old Robert Lee Clark of Goose Creek. The video of the chase was released by the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office the next day, The incident is being investigated by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Vansant initiated the chase when he saw Clark going 66 miles per hour in a 45 mile per hour zone. The deputy was going 98 miles per hour when he turned on his lights and siren. When he caught up to Clark, the biker was going about 60 miles per hour. Clark decided to run. The pursuit continued for about seven miles and lasted a little more than five minutes.

Clark slowed to the speed limit and sped up several times. He ran three red lights and a yellow light and he also drove on the wrong side of the road several times. The pursuit reached speeds of more than 110 miles per hour.

Vansant bumped Clark from behind twice. The first collision, five minutes and 23 seconds into the pursuit, obviously convinced Clark to finally pull over. At the moment of that first collision Vansant was going 88. When Clark slowed and pulled over to the right Vansant hit him again at 64 miles per hour. Clark began to lose control of his bike after the second collision. As he attempted to miss a Dodge Neon that had pulled to the right side of the street Clark hit a curb and crashed.

He was not wearing a helmet. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the Charleston Post and Courier, the “coroner later pulled a marijuana cigarette, a pipe and a few bags of the drug from Clark’s clothes…. The marijuana weighed nearly 2 ounces.”

How many people do you or I know that have been in possession of 2 OZ of weed? That and going 20 MPH over the speed limit justifies a death sentence meted out arbitrarily and indiscriminately by a 2.3 GPA in criminal justice dipshit named officer friendly?

Really? This is why my world grows smaller every day and the perimeter exponentially grows hotter.

Another fucking hero for saving all of them lives, if it was a crotch rocket With a Minority on it they would have let him go. He was probably running to get out of the cops way. RIP

There’s no way that this “police officer” will be convicted of any offense, if he is charged at all. The victim wasn’t a minority or a child, so this guy will get a free vacation out of it. He might even get an accommodation from his department for putting his life on the line in pursuit of a dangerous criminal. FTP!!

  4. Krobar Says:

The news will move on this guy will be forgotten and the cop with go back to work looking for his next victim Count on it
